WALL PIECES

These wall-sized collages are site-specific and printed in segments on Lexjet vinyl. In addition to being informed by the context and background of the space, the work also expands on imagery found within the paintings of Untitled Frankenstein, and they are designed to be shown alongside that work. As seen in Reproductive Years (below), the paintings themselves are occasionally incorporated within the wall piece.

While I consider the wall pieces to be standalone works, when installed along with the paintings of Untitled Frankenstein they serve to make the subject of the series somewhat more legible and immersive. Repetitions of the some of the collage elements (and in the case of the most recent work, the text) can be found within the paintings themselves, even if largely obscured. Buried throughout these collages are also my own medical images, given to me after the successful surgical removal of my teratoma.
